GBP 1m composter bucks downward financial trend
A composting company is bucking the downward economic trend by announcing it is on target to achieve a £1 million turnover.
This would be the first time that Accelerated Compost (AC) had hit such a turnover since it started in 2002.
The company, makers of the Rocket in-vessel composter, said its financial success suggests that more companies are taking recycling more seriously than ever before.
“It’s been hard work but the figures are really stacking up,” said the company’s general manager Huw Crampton.
“We’ve seen a huge increase in the amount and types of organisations that want to recycle their food waste on-site, and cut out the rising waste disposal charges from their budgets.
“Food waste recycling doesn’t have to be hard and more people are discovering this. That’s why 2008 has been such a good year for us.”
