Grafton composting plant commissioned in record time

Having lost valuable time during the initial construction period due to inclement weather, APBTC managed to make good some of the lost time with a fast track installation and commissioning procurement. In less than 6 weeks after the installation commenced, by the end of August 2012, the plant was ready to accept the first organic waste into one of the tunnels for a 14-days cycle.

Meanwhile the plant treats all organic waste delivered to the new site, and the composting process is monitored and fully auto-controlled by a sophisticated and purpose designed process control system (SCADA). Final performance tests of product quality and air emissions against the applicable regulations and standards are under way.
