New technology adopted

Despite the difficulties the international market is currently facing, Macpresse is investing in a new computerized spare part management system to improve the quality of production and to provide customer plants with the guarantee of uninterrupted operation.
As part of the initiative, new machinery is being put into production for the manufacture of spare parts.
The operation involves equipping 3 machining centres with digital-control machines. These machines will be able to replicate thousands of spare parts in a very short time, at the same time assuring plant operation of the highest quality.
This initiative is further evidence of Macpresse's extreme commitment to keeping levels of quality high, making provision for the bulk of its parts production to take place in its own facilities, thus guaranteeing customers original spare parts supplied direct from the manufacturer.
At the moment, it is common practice for competitors to outsource production and hence limit their own activities to assembling components, with a consequent high probability of critical operating issues.
The ordering process for the customer consists in simply quoting the unique part number featured in the machine handbook, at which point Mac can supply all information regarding part availability in real time along with relevant delivery dates (in most cases, each part is marked with the Mac logo).
A modern program allows Mac spare parts personnel to get advance information regarding dimensions, weight, part numbering and price.
For over 20 years, Macpresse has made a practice of keeping stock at its distributors' facilities around the world, a policy that successfully decreases the machine downtime experienced by customers.
