Cornicabra awards of the Foundation of DO Montes de Toledo Regulatory Council, sponsored by Caja Rural de Castilla-La Mancha, in collaboration with Pieralisi Group, are meant to encourage and reward the interest in improving the quality of extra virgin olive oils produced under the auspices of DO, processed with 100% of the native Cornicabra olive variety.
This year the olive oil '5 Elementos'produced by the mill Finca Pontezuela, won the first 'Cornicabra Award', which recognizes the best olive oil DO Montes de Toledo. The second prize was awarded to Casas de Hualdo and to Morlin . All winners use in their mills Pieralisi machinery, factor that highlights the guarantee of quality which represents the Italian society.
The awards ceremony was attended by the DO members, led by Andres Gomez Mora, the Chairman of the Foundation and of the Caja Rural de Castilla-La Mancha, and by various authorities, including Francisco Martinez Arroyo, the Minister of Agriculture of Castilla-La Mancha.
Also some of the representatives of Pieralisi Group attended the ceremony: Vicente Sanz, Sales Manager of Northern Spain and Portugal, Raul Maroto, Sales Representative in Madrid and Castilla La Mancha, and Giuseppe Parma, General Manager of Pieralisi Spain, who awarded the prize as best miller 'Maestro Molinero 2014' to Esteban Gomez Arevalillo Martin, responsible for processing the olive oil winner of the competition, the one of La Pontezuela mill.
Pieralisi congratulates Finca Pontezuela for this success, a company that in just two years since its creation, has managed to stand out as a national reference point for its really beautiful mill with an avant-garde building equipped with the latest technologies, and for its extra virgin olive oils of the highest quality.
