Pöyry acquires 60% of Brazilian forest-based consulting

Pöyry has acquired 60 per cent of the shares of Silviconsult Engenharia Ltda, a Brazilian forest-oriented consulting. The company's annual net sales are about EUR 1.7 million. The value of the acquisition is not disclosed.
Established in 1989, Silviconsult provides solutions for forest businesses and socioenvironmental management, and is a valuable addition to Pöyry's service offering. Silviconsult employs about 23 experts having its headquarters in the city of Curitiba, State of Paraná in Brazil.
