At work, when are we most effective?  Is it right after that first cup of morning coffee?

You may surprise you to know that the efforts of an entire day can be summed up and accomplished in just 90-minutes.
A recent Harvard Business Review post, examines the question: when are people most effective?  Based on research by Peretz Lavie and others, 90-minutes is the optimal human limit for focusing intensely on any given task.  With this focus, an individual can typically get more work done during those 90 minutes, and feel more satisfied with output, compared to any other period during the rest of the day.
With that being said, what will your company accomplish with its 90-minutes today?  Where is your focus?
The answers to these questions begins and ends with leadership.  Our professional experience has show that organizations with effective leaders are significantly more likely to achieve intelligent growth. By facilitating business sustainability discussion, rather than forcing a message, leaders open the door to inclusion and engagement.

  • Encourage employee discussion about business sustainability direction.
  • Focus on facilitating sustainability learning for employee development.
  • Encourage feedback from stakeholders about change management processes.
  • Initiate grass-roots business sustainability programs within the organization.
