Alken Clear-Flo - Model 1000 - Waste Degrader and Probiotic for Aquaculture
ALKEN CLEAR-FLO 1000 is a dry, blend of four strains of Bacillus bacteria designed for simple reduction of aquatic nutrients (excreta, excess feed, surface runoff, etc.), where water quality is fairly good and a microbial blend is used as 'insurance' and as a simple gut probiotic when eaten by fish. ALKEN CLEAR-FLO 1000 has been used and recommended by independent scientists since the 1980s in fish hatcheries, catfish and trout farms, lobster pens, prawn farms, and aquaria to combat the most common problems associated with high nutrient levels — murky water, suffocation of fish, proliferation of algae, and off-flavors.

Application Directions
Aquaculture/Lake/Pond dosage charts for general application rates. Use double the amount listed on the Dosage chart for CF 1003 - 1008. Your Alken-Murray service representative will prescribe both the initial application and the weekly maintenance doses taking into consideration such factors as the size of the particular waterbody, total weekly inflow and outflow, amount of shade vs. sun, fish and fowl loadings, and levels of pesticides or other contaminants. Be aware that a heavy rainfall may bring significant contamination with its runoff, and a one-time dosage equal to the initial application may be needed to restore control. Mechanical aeration may be needed where natural aeration is deficient. For optimum bacterial performance, hydrate ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1000 before application in the evening. Thoroughly mix each pound of dry product with two gallons of warm (approx.70 deg.F) water from the waterbody to be treated. Allow the mixture to hydrate for two hours, stirring vigorously every ½ hour. After final settling, carefully pour off the top liquid layer for use, squeeze all liquid from the bran that has settled into the liquid and dispose of the remaining bran. Avoid use of algaecides, herbicides, and antibiotics when using ALKEN CLEAR-FLO®.
Packaging And Handling
ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1000 is packaged in 25-, 50-, and 500-pound containers. Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, or open wounds and wash hands with warm, soapy water after handling.
