Kemper - Model 300 series - Harvesting Headers
The headers of the 300 series operate in an open cut mode. Fast and uncompromising. Up to 6 cutting rotor blades enable operation regardless of the distance between rows and over a wide range of crops. The row independent cutting technology makes it possible to operate in the field from any direction - particularly important when harvesting laid crops.
Row independent cutting system
Row independent cutting system with high speed cutting rotors and freewheel mechanism. Cuts across the entire cutting width by means of enclosed saw type rotor blades with replaceable segments. Fast rotating cutting rotors also cut under heavy circumstances, for example, weeds or whole crop silage.
Tungsten carbide coated saw type blades, manufactured with quality certification, self sharpening, lower load placed on clutches and transmissions. Available as service set.
The 300 series features special shaped cleaners. The sharp edged maize stubble is broken up by the cleaners placed under the cutting rotors. This not only protects the tyres of the forage harvester, but also speeds up the decomposition of the stubble.
Even crop intake, lengthwise to the main chopping unit and clean gathering with the two angled, step type intake drums across the entire channel width, ensures maximum use of the harvester's engine power.
The solution for extreme harvesting conditionsOptimised crop transport
Drum covers with greater surface area on the feed rotors improve crop transport to the chopper intake area under difficult harvesting conditions. Specially shaped ear bars minimise loss of crop when working on sloping terrain. Bolt-on scrapers, usable on both sides, scrape out crop debris. To facilitate crop transport, two innovative spiral intakes guide the crop efficiently to the main chopping unit, even under difficult operating conditions. Bolt-on scrapers All 300 Series intake rotors are fitted with bolt-on scrapers for attachment to either side for efficient removal of crop debris, even under extreme operating conditions.

Wide range of applications: Maize, sorghum, sunflowers, whole crop silage, oilseed rape, hemp, pampas grass, etc.
Lighter axle loads and fewer counterweights. Reduces soil compaction. Greater manoeuvrability.
The Optional equipment for the 300 series includes, row guidance, mechanical lateral tilt, liquid cooled friction clutches, a 2-speed gearbox and lots more.
Stress-free operation – thanks to the automatic row guidance with the new KEMPER sensor
The new sensor in the central crop divider assists steering.
A magnet is embedded in the plastic. The black sensor measures the distance, and obtains a steering signal.
- Increased working speed thanks to automatic row guidance
- Lower stress on the driver, bringing improved performance
- Full driver-concentration on what is important
- The harvester does not lose its track even when a row is missing
- Innovative software compensates for missing signals
- Low-wear, zero-servicing design of the steering system
The 2-speed gearbox allows the header to be optimised, so as to react flexibly to any crop conditions and cut lengths.
Maize stalks are lifted when crop is heavily laid.
