ACTI-Mag - Magnesium Oxide
Magnesium oxide (MgO), or magnesia, is a white hygroscopic solid mineral that occurs naturally as periclase and is a source of magnesium. Calix's ACTI-Mag™ 50, 100 and 150 are produced from the flash calcination of high-grade natural magnesite minerals. Flash-calcination affects the surface area and pore size and hence the reactivity of the magnesium oxide formed.
ACTI-Mag™ is produced from magnesite and dolomite which are finely ground and flash calcined using through the CFC15000, Calix's proprietary catalytic Flash Calcination process. This process produces a very high surface area powder which optimises the performance of products in many different industries.
ACTI-Mag 50, 100 and 150 provide significant benefits to customers and partners in a wide range of Industry applications:Agriculture; Building & Construction; Water.
