Cross-Ply - Tractor Tires
A diagonal tire has a simple structure. The different ply cord layers extend to the beads and are laid at alternate angles less than 90 degrees to the centre-line of the tread.
The carcass is stiff, strong and durable. It is also exposed to high internal tensions during the rolling. A cross-ply tire:
- is good in rough terrain and uneven surfaces
- has strong sidewalls
- has good lateral stability
