About Us
Advantec was established in 1998 by David McGrath and Allan Pearce, to provide sales and marketing support to David’s agricultural company, Sustainable Agricultural Machinery Developments (SAM). David is the inventor and manufacturer of the Permanent Raised Bed Management System which won him the Land newspaper Inventor of the Year at the Australian National Field Days in 1990.
David is also the inventor of the “original” DraftStoppa®, which was put on hold until the drought hit rural Australia and, as a part of a diversification of product lines, it was decided to fast track the development.
In 2005 Advantec struck up an alliance with REM Enterprises Inc located Swift Current, Canada, becoming the Australian importer of their quality agricultural products such as the REM Grain Vacuums (GrainVacs) and REM Delta Flexible Harrows.
REM, an ISO 9001:2000 Registered company, has operating since 1966 originally created for the manufacture and sale of a specialised line of farm accessories: Chaff Saving and Transport Equipment. Through the intervening years, the company has gone through significant change and in 1985 produced the first GrainVAC
To compliment the REM products, Advantec has also taken on the Australian and New Zealand distribution of the Behlen “Crop Circle™” grain storage rings.
Meridian with over 30 years of experience, designs and manufactures buildings and storage systems for the industrial, commercial, institutional, and agricultural markets.
The Rem GrainVAC (first patented in the US in 1989) by Rem Enterprises Inc is more than just a clean up tool with ease of operation, low maintenance and low horsepower requirements. Independent tests by grain elevators indicate that the Rem GrainVAC causes less damage to valuable seed than conventional vacuum systems where high speed airlocks are used. In addition, the unique drum and exhaust design separates dust and foreign matter from the grain, thereby improving the quality of the material you deliver. Currently available in four different models, the 2700, 3700 and the2700D, 3700D (special order).
