Every minute counts when you're working in the field, so when the weather conditions change, the unique, innovative solutions used in DEUTZ-FAHR roto-press balers can make all the difference. The integral, ribbed rotor produces compact, perfectly formed, high quality bales, for maximised productivity.
Versions
Optifeed
The simple and reliable Optifeed integral rotor is used to compress forage that does not require cutting. The large inlet chamber prevents the risk of restriction for superior performance in the field. The rotor also ensures that material is fed continuously to the compression chamber even when working with uneven windrows.
OPTICUT 14/23
The FM 235 may also be equipped with the OptiCut cutting system with 14 or 23 blades. The Opticut system consists of a large rotor with auger spirals and offset blade teeth for superior cutting performance, greater bale density and easier bale forming. Ideal for compressing bales for silage, the OPTICUT system may be used either 14 blades with a cutting length of 70 mm, or 23 blades with a cutting length of 45 mm. A spring system protects the knife teeth against damage from foreign objects, for reduced repair costs and outstanding cutting quality. The operator can choose the number of blades used for cutting (0,7,11,12 or 23) directly from a control panel in the cab.
Balepack
VariMaster BalePack machines combine two technologies to create a single integrated roto-press baler wrapper solution. Once the bale is bound with twine or net, the hatch opens and the first loader fork picks up the bale and transfers it immediately to the second fork. The wrapping table tilts slightly forwards to accept the bale carried by the second fork. As the bale is transferred from the second fork to the wrapping table, the first fork lowers and the hatch closes, ready to compress the next bale. Once the bale has been set down on the wrapping table, the table returns to the horizontal position. Up to this point, the second fork has remained in the raised position to prevent the risk of the bale rolling forward and colliding with the lowering hatch.
The fast and reliable bale wrapping system with INTELLIWRAP system increases productivity with the ability to bale and wrap up to 60 bales/hour. Deutz-Fahr IntelliWrap technology manages the bale wrapping process much more efficiently. IntelliWrap uses sophisticated electronic and hydraulic systems to continuously monitor the wrapping process and control film overlay for unparalleled versatility. Depending on individual needs, forage type and storage period, the number of film layers may vary from as little as 5 to as many as 7. The IntelliWrap™ system also includes 3D wrapping capability, an innovative method for applying film which may also be used on round bales. The major advantage of the 3D process is its ability to distribute the film more uniformly and more effectively over the entire surface of the bale. Once the cylindrical surface of the bale is completely wrapped, the pre-tensioner units return to the vertical position. The turntable and pre-tensioner units then rotate to apply the final layers of film and hermetically seal the bale

Pick-up
The innovative design of this 2.30 m pick-up means that even the thickest, tallest windrows are gathered effectively and quickly. The gradient control and height adjustment systems mean that the machine closely follows the contours of the terrain to ensure thorough gathering. The pick-up roller feeds material to the rotor effectively regardless of the conditions of the crop.
Open throat
The large feed inlet aperture made possible with Open Throat technology prevents the risk of restriction and increases the flow of material to the compression chamber, significantly improving performance. The extraordinary collecting capacity of the broad pick-up means that it can even gather the large, bulky windrows produced by large combine harvesters.
Integral rotor technology - Optifeed
The simple and reliable Optifeed integral rotor is used to compress forage that does not require cutting. The large inlet chamber prevents the risk of restriction for superior performance in the field. The rotor also ensures that material is fed continuously to the compression chamber even when working with uneven windrows.
