Dewulf - Model GBI Series - 1-Row Trailed Carrot Harvester with Bunker
From Carrot Harvesters
The Dewulf GBI 1-row carrot harvester is a productive and at the same time very cost-effective harvesting solution. The unbeatable Dewulf top lifting mechanism guarantees that your carrots are lifted without damage and that routine maintenance is reduced to a minimum. The 5-tonne hopper is ideal to ensure higher capacity on larger fields.
- Low maintenance
- Robust chassis and top-lifting mechanism
- 5 tonne hopper
- Guaranteed carrot quality
The thoughtfully designed chassis lets soil and debris fall alongside the machine, instead of carrying it on the frame and crossbars. The open chassis improves accessibility and visibility.
The chassis and bunker are lightweight and very stable, and will offer a very smooth intake. Thanks to an excellent weight distribution, the GBI carrot harvester is very easy to handle and maneuver.
Driving your productivity
The Dewulf topping mechanism
Whenever moving parts are exposed to dust and liquid, excessive wear will be a direct result. The bearings of the topping blades are therefore hermetically sealed off, so even the smallest dust particles or liquids cannot gain access.
The topping mechanism only has one single grease point per element lubricating all six topping blades through an inside channel. This significantly reduces maintenance time.
Delivering quality products
Two large heavy-duty sprockets within the gearbox ensure a perfect synchronization between the knife blades at all times. As a result, carrots cannot be chipped off at the top and the knife blades will last longer.
Foreign objects such as wood will not obstruct the harvesting process, because the topping blades are sprung-loaded and therefore always return to their original position.
Smooth transport, efficient cleaning
Long harvesting belts
The GBI carrot harvester is equipped with long 14000 mm super-grip profile belts:
- Larger capacity
- More efficient cleaning and product handling
- Able to cope with higher travel speeds and crop throughput
Low inclination: A low inclination angle ensures a smooth and gentle crop intake.
Effective haulm removal: Haulm is evacuated at a safe distance from the topping blades. This reduces the risk of blockage.
Adjustable speed: Depending on the conditions, you can fine tune crop intake to perfection by decreasing/increasing the speed of the belts according to the travel speed.
The large 9m3 hopper is ideal to offer you higher capacity on large fields. Thanks to four cylinders, the bunker is able to discharge its load almost horizontally in trailer or high trucks, even from a 4m height.
An elevator brings the carrots into the hopper. Equipped with an extra large belt (900 mm), the elevator is able to reach the bottom of the hopper. The standard optic eye continuously minimizes the drop height.
