DL Plastics - Model Type 1000 - PVC Foils
Application: ponds. For the construction of ponds PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) is mainly used. This material is very flexible, adapts well to the shape of the pond and is easy to weld. Moreover, there is no need for top specialists to make repairs. These are in fact very easily carried out with of DL PLASTICS B.V’s repair kits. Also, price wise PVC pond liner is very attractive.
We supply PVC pond liner in 0.5 and 1 mm rolls and made to measure to suit the client. The lifespan of 0.5 mm PVC foil is approximately 6 to 10 years, and 1 mm foil has a lifespan of 10 to 20 years. This can be extended by shielding the foil as much as possible against U.V. rays. PVC can be welded using hot air, a hot iron or so-called high-frequency. A disadvantage of PVC is that chlorine is released when PVC is burned. Then again, it can be glued very well. PVC can be processed at temperatures between -10°C and +50°C. However, PVC is vulnerable at lower temperatures.
In short, anyone can build a pond without the aid of our engineers. However, we are glad to help.
The standard colour of PVC liner is black. You can specify which folding width you prefer: 1.15 or 2 metres. Below is a list of our standard roll sizes:
Application: drinking water basin & waterproof coating in steel tanks
DL PLASTICS B.V. also supplies PVC foil that meets stringent KIWA requirements. The Kiwa-ATA ('Attest op Toxicologische Aspecten', Certificate Toxicological Aspects) certifies that the product does not emit any substances to the drinking water in quantities harmful to public health. This is a mandatory requirement for manure basin foil. We supply this foil as requested by the customer.
Application: cover sheet, silo cover
Our range also includes a special PVC version, i.e. a reinforced variant. Reinforced PVC is exceptionally suitable as cover sheet. It is more resistant to external influences than ordinary PVC foil and is also extremely strong. Reinforced PVC is applied by us in the manufacturing of silo covers.
