- Livestock Vaccine - Heptavalent Concentrated Toxoid Vaccine



Dollitox-extra is a heptavalent concentrated toxoid vaccine composed of formaldehyde-inactivated vaccine strain cultures of Cl. perfringens type B, Cl. perfringens type C, Cl. perfringens type D, Cl. oedematiens type A, Cl. septicum, Cl. chauvoei, Cl. haemolyticum which are mixed with adjuvant Montanide ISA 206.

Indications: DOLLITOX-extra is used for the protection of sheep goats and cattle against enterotoxemia, dysentery, infectious necrotic hepatitis, blackleg, malignant edema, gaseous gangrene and bacillary hemoglobinuria.

Contraindications: DOLLITOX-extra should not be used in infected animals and animals in the incubation period.

Composition per dose:

  • Cl perfringens type B and C, β toxoid : >10IU/ml antitoxin
  • Cl perfringens type D, ε toxoid : 5 IU/ml antitoxin
  • Cl. oedematiens type A,α toxoid : 3.5 IU/ml antitoxin
  • Cl. septicum ,α toxoid : 2.5 IU/ml antitoxin
  • Cl. chauvoei toxoid : 100 % protection in guinea pigs
  • Cl. haemolyticum (9CFR) toxoid : 75 % protection in guinea pigs

Target Species: Cattle, calves, sheep and goats, lambs and kids
Dosage and administration: Sheep and goats and lambs and kids are vaccinated by subcutaneously with 2 and 1 ml vaccine in the under arm, respectively. Cattles and calves are subcutaneously vaccinated with 4 and 2ml vaccine in the back of the neck, respectively. Booster vaccination is applied 21 days later. Periodic annual revaccination is recommended.

Packing : Vials of 20 ml(10 doses), 50 (25 doses)and 100 ml (50 doses)
Storage : Store vaccine between +2oC and+8oC. Protect from light. Do not freze.
Destruction conditions: All used bottles should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements of Medicinal Wastes Control Legislation.
