This dryer or ventilator can be used to dry or ventilate small amounts of (basic)seed. The dryer consist of drawers in which trays containing seed can be placed. A ventilator sucks heated or conditioned air and divides it among the trays. This way the small amounts of seed get dried perfectly
There are 2 types of trays:
- Trays with a mesh bottom. These trays are perfect for loose seed and bags of seed. Ideal for flower seed and basic seed.
- Trays with an oval gap and a perforated plate. In these trays the seed can be brought to the desired condition very fast in cotton bags. Important for long term storage, when seed enters the conditioned room and when it leave the room to be sold.
Because it's mobile this installation can be placed in any room; Air from this room can be blown easily through the seed. Optional are heating, conditioned or air drying installations and automation.
Conditioning / ventilation of seed;
- The dryer can be placed in a (conditioned) room. The air in the room is sucked in and blown through the seed. The seed (in little bags, normal bags and trays soon reaches the desired moisture and temperature, corresponding with the conditioned the air in the room.
- This gives a great improvement to the condition of the middle of the bags for long term storage in cold storage containers.
Drying of seed in a draw dryer;
The dryer can be placed in any room. The (heated) air of the room gets blown through the seed. The product will dry gradually, depending on the air condition and amount of heating.
The dryer can be placed in a conditioned room. The dry and cold air get sucked from this room. The seed can be control dried with a lower end temperature.
It is also possible for the draw dryer to suck in conditioned air via a mobile air dryer .
Measuring and regulating can be done by one central measuring point or a measuring point for each tray.
Central measuringpoint: The desired RH is configured. The RH of the seed is measured from one place (tray). When the desired RH is reached the drying/ventilation for all trays will be stopped. Measured values are registered by special software and can be logged.
Per tray: The desired RH is configured for every tray individually. The RH of the seed is measured for every tray. When the desired RH is reached, the air through the tray is reduced automatically. When the air supply stops, the seed in that tray is dry.

Central measure point
The desired RH is configured. The RH of the air from the seed is measured from the seed at one place. When reaching the desired RH the flow is gradually reduced. Measure values are registered with special software and can be logd. The regulation is done with a modular hygrostat.
Separated each tray
The desired RH is configured for each tray. The RH of the air from the seed is measured for each tray. Every air vent is provided with a slide with an engine. Measure values are registered with special software and can be logd. The regulation is done with the Agra-Dry-Control for Tray and draw dryers.
