An increase in the rate of seed emergence can be achieved by soaking seeds in Ecolicitor® which in effect, may provide several days of extra growth in a season (maize crop, Sharma et al., AFBI, 2009C).
Ecolicitor significantly enhances root growth length (Perennial ryegrass and Creeping bentgrass, Fleming et al., AFBI, 2009).
Weight of crop shoots are significantly increased using foliar application of Ecolicitor® (Barley crop, Sharma et al., AFBI, 2008).
Studies on oilseed rape show a significant reduction in tissue damage (lesion diameter) in lowest fully-expanded non-senescent leaf (leaf S) and younger leaves (Jones et al., UCC, 2011).
Enhanced seed emergence, root & shoot growth in species of grass
Ecolicitor® enhances the rate of seed emergence and increases root and shoot growth in a number of species of grass. In particular, studies on maize demonstrate an increased rate of emergence of seeds when previously treated with Ecolicitor® (Sharma et al., AFBI, 2009C). Ecolicitor® is also shown to significantly enhance root length in Perennial ryegrass and Creeping bentgrass (Fleming et al., AFBI, 2009). In addition, barley shoot weight is significantly increased using foliar application of Ecolicitor® (Sharma et al., AFBI, 2008).
- Foliar spray or fertirrigation application.
