Greenwheel - Cutting System
From Other Products
Using the same technology as the Quadwheel®, the Greenwheel® provides a performance upgrade with less of an investment. The unique design of this wheel provides approximately a 30' gap between each set of teeth.
Details:
This provides several benefits:
- It allows you to start your cut farther into the stump
- Only one set of teeth are engaged at once. The break before the next set of teeth pass through the stump gives your motor a chance to regain RPM before starting another cut
- The arrangement of the teeth on each holder ensures the teeth will take the proper amount of material for each pass
Better By Design™
- Uses only 2 holders, 6Wearsharp™teeth & 4 bolts, decreasing your maintenance costs
- Replaceable Tooth Holder is Grade 8 heat treated
- The placement of the holder is off-center, which places the tooth nuts on the center line of the wheel thus protecting them from wear
- The holder places the teeth off the face of the wheel, significantly reducing wheel wear
Advantages
The unique design of our Wearsharp™ allows the tooth to retain a sharp cutting surface, unlike traditional teeth that tend to round over. This provides a consistent cut throughout the life of the tooth, allowing you to maintain a faster sweep speed.
The Greenwheel® uses six of our 2-sided Wearsharp™ teeth. We designed these teeth for wheels that use half the carbide on the tooth when cutting.
500 LoPro Series Red Teeth
The 500 LoPro Series red teeth are more concaved, which cut through stumps at a faster rate than the 500 Series green teeth. The advantage is faster cutting, but these teeth are prone to chip easier when they come into contact with a hard surface, such as a rock or a steel gas pipe. The red teeth are recommended in situations where there is less than 25% rock in the ground.
500 LoPro Series Green Teeth
The 500 LoPro Series green teeth are less concaved than the 500 Series red teeth, which work well in situations where there is some rock in the soil. The 500 Series green teeth still cut wood at a fast rate, but are less prone to chip when compared to the 500 Series red teeth. The green teeth are recommended in situations where there is more than 25% rock in the ground.
Bolts
The LoPro bolt features a 1/2' allen drive, a smooth shank to minimize wheel wear, and an extraction slot at the end of the bolt for easy removal in case of a broken bolt. These bolts are designed to be used only for the new 500, 700, and 900 LoPro pockets due to the angled shoulder on the pocket. All LoPro bolts should be torqued to 180 Foot Pounds. There are five different bolt sizes for the LoPro bolts.
