Product Details
The cutter deck of the CL 62 is mounted at the front therefore allowing the operator to cut under low branches and bushes. High grass, coppices and bushes are guided into the cutter deck and cut by the blade which is formed from special steel. The cut material is discharged out of the rear. If necessary the cutter deck’s front aperture will lift up automatically when entering high vegetation without crushing it down, and considerably increases the efficiency of the cutter. The tension of the cutter deck belt is self-adjusting and the belt always works in a horizontal plane.
The cutter deck is completely made of steel, its cutting height can be adjusted from a minimum of 50 up to a maximum of 110 mm. The adjustment is progressive and can be easily regulated by means of a hand wheel. The cutter decks blade tips are engineered with a special profile so as to reduce noise and guarantee an excellent quality cut even on English lawns. The blades profile is reversible with a double cutting edge: when one edge is worn out its possible to reverse the blade and use the other second cutting edge. The 110 mm maximum cutting height is ideal especially when the ground is uneven and also to avoid mounds in the surface. The cutter deck has a solid front tire. While cutting across a slope, the rotation of the front wheel can be locked in order to ease the forward movement. Its locking/unlocking is very easy and do not require any tools.
The machine was designed with even weight distribution resulting in a very low center of gravity producing a perfectly balanced machine.
During cutting operation, the handle bar can be operated with one hand only so that it is possible to adjust the forward and reverse movement via the control lever positioned on the handlebar. This system of adjustment for the forward movement is very practical when cutting on slopes, near trees or other obstacles or when cutting bushes or other kind of shrubs. The CL62 handlebar can be adjusted 2 ways: in height, to adapt to the operator, and laterally to facilitate cutting operations in difficult conditions such as under branches or in the presence of many obstacles.
The CL62 transmission is hydrostatic, speed is continuously variable and ranges from 0 to 6 km/h and 3,5 km/h in reverse. The CL62 is fitted with a disc brake which enables the machine to stop on slopes. All controls are in comfortable position, including the levers for the adjustment of the handlebar.
The Grillo CL62 is powered by a Briggs and Stratton Intek 950E series engine. This OHV petrol engine has a 223cc displacement and incorporates the latest technical innovations ensuring reliability, low emissions, reduced consumption, high performance and vibrations which are reduced to the minimum. The engine, equipped with Ready Start System, is very easy to start. The machine, unique in its type, is fitted with 4 ant-vibration blocks on the engine support which isolate engine vibrations from the rest of the chassis and ensures a comfortable operation of the brush cutter.
The CL 62 can be easily placed in a vertical position by simply placing the handlebar on the ground. Maintenance and cleaning of the cutting deck will so be easily accessible.
All components, from the simplest to the most complex, are of a high quality standard. Chassis, handlebar, cutting deck, everything is built by Grillo in Italy by using only premium materials and cutting edge technology. All this to achieve a constant and 100% controlled high level quality.
Varnishing of Grillo machines consists of a double electrostatic powder coated process. At the beginning there are the washing baths and the preparation, then a first protective coat is applied together with the baking in the oven, this turns out to be the best basis for the application of the finishing. The second coat consists of powder coating and further baking in the oven at 190°C to produce the characteristic hardness and brilliance.
All CL 62 have been mounted with care in every detail and tested scrupulously by specialised personnel. Final inspection means a machine whose engine has been run in order to check its performance. This is a further and final guarantee of a high quality product.
CL 62, as with all Grillo products, was projected and built to last and retain its value for many years. They are distributed and serviced by a widespread Grillo specialist dealer net. Spare parts remain available also after a lot of years.
