Isaria - Real Time VR Nitrogen
From Precision Farming
We have been associated with the Fritzmeier Isaria crop sensor since it first arrived in the country. As a company we have installed and continue to support a large number of the UK sensors. We are involved with ADAS & AHDB research projects as well as agronomy companies monitoring their own trials.
The Isaria is a Real Time VR Nitrogen sensor, processing variable rate application data directly to the spreader (or sprayer for liquid N). The intelligent system can detect where a crop has greater yield potential and manages applications accordingly, day or night. Unlike roof mounted sensors, the Isaria can be quickly installed on a front linkage. Folding booms, give a working width of 7 metres with each of the two sensors reading data from approximately 40cm above the crop. The Isaria reads green area of the crop as well as biomass to calculate agronomic decision making.
In addition to VRA N, the sensor can be used to variably apply PGR’s and VRA desiccant for potato leaf desiccation.
