Mid-Frequency Pingers
From Pingers and Pinger Receiver
Mid-frequency pingers are available as a Single Frequency Pinger (SFP1) and as a Multifrequency Pinger (MFP1). The SFP1 is available in several frequencies, one of which is specified at time of order (22, 26, 30, or 37.5kHz) at no additional charge. The MFP1 has user selectable frequencies from 20 to 50 kHz in 500 Hz increments. The operator selects one of 60 different frequencies before deploying the pinger. The acoustic pinger can be automatically activated when put in the water or manually activated with a jumper on the circuit board. Many MFP-1 pingers can be deployed in the same general area, each transmitting a different frequency. A diver using the pinger receiver can pinpoint the exact location of each pinger without interference from the others.

Power for the mid-frequency pingers is supplied by...
Power for the mid-frequency pingers is supplied by two standard alkaline 9 volt batteries which last from a few days to many months, depending on frequency, output power, and pulse selection. For longer durations, lithium batteries can be used. Longer housings are also available which greatly increase the operating time. The Extended Operation Housing holds six batteries to give 3 times the normal operating time. The Very Long Duration Housing holds twelve 'D' size batteries and gives 12 times the normal operating time.
Mid-Frequency Pinger Options:
- Custom frequencies (other than 22, 26, 30, or 37.5 kHz) are available for SFP-1: $95.
- Extended Operation Housing (3 times normal operating time): $195.
- Very Long Duration Housing (12 times normal operating time): $785.
- External 10 foot cable for a remote on/off switch: $250.
- Carrying case (holds four standard pingers or two pingers and a pinger receiver): $250.
