The grain is hit by a counter current of hot air. As it exits the air flow is divided; the upper part is dispersed in the environment, while the lower part is recycled. The quantity of grain released is pre-determined and regulated by a pneumatic extractor.
The product is then collected in an unloading hopper. From the unloading hopper the grain, still hot, is sent at intervals to a recovery area below and then to the cooling area to be cooled slowly.
There is a single extraction zone regulated by several pneumatic extractors so as to make the exiting mass of dried product as homogeneous as possible.
