Simply fill the seed tray or pot evenly with compost and firm down lightly.
Then sow your seeds, following the recommendations on the seed packet.
Pricking out seedlings:
When seedlings are sufficiently strong to handle, you’ll need to prick them out into trays filled with Growise Multipurpose Compost.
Handle them very gently by the leaves, taking care to avoid any damage to their stems and roots.
Plant into holes in the compost about 5 cm apart and water thoroughly.
First, fill a shallow pot or tray with Growise Multipurpose Compost and gently
firm the compost.
Insert the prepared cuttings and water thoroughly.
Maintain a moist atmosphere by covering with polythene.
Remember to keep the plants warm and do not allow the compost to dry out.
Containers and hanging baskets:
Fill the container with Growise Multipurpose Compost.
Line hanging baskets with moss or another suitable liner ensuring that there are adequate drainage holes, before filling.
Water thoroughly after planting and ensure that the compost is not allowed to dry out.
Partly fill a pot (large enough to comfortably accommodate plant roots) with
Growise Multipurpose Compost.
Ensure the plant to be repotted is well watered and then tap it out of its container.
Position the undisturbed root ball of the plant in the new pot and top up with more compost.
Gently firm the compost to ensure that no large air spaces are left around the roots.
Water well and keep shaded until the plant is well established.
Trees and shrubbing:
Dig a hole in the soil at least twice the size of the root ball.
Mix Growise Multipurpose Compost with the soil in a 50 : 50 mixture and refill the hole around the roots.
Firm around the base of the plant and water well.
Keep moist until the plant is well established.
