This incineration process is a very quick way of taking 25tons of high volumetric weight and otherwise useless empty Palm Bunch, to produce 1 ton of highly nutritious, easy to transport Palm Bunch Ash. This Palm Bunch Ash has long been used and recognized by planters as the best and the most economical source of Potassium (K). Potash is vital in plants growth, as it strengthens their cells, increasing their resistance to stress and diseases. The requirement for potash is larger for crop bearing plants, flower and vegetables.
It not only gives the basic nutrients, its high pH also neutralized the soils acidity, especially in peat areas and acidic soils with low potash. Palm Bunch Ash is widely known as one of the best raw material for organic fertilizer.

Advantages of using Bunch Ash (particularly with Peaty Soils):
The poor inherent physical and chemical properties of peat make its development for cultivation difficult and costly. Low soil bulk density, high water table, subsidence, low pH, high carbon and nitrogen ration (C/N) and low nutrient status among the major properties of peat that need amelioration for successful cultivation.
Peat soils contain large amounts of N, but the difficulty is absorbing N to the crops due to the deficiency in K. The application of alkaline, high pH material – Bunch Ash increases the rate of decomposition and the mineralization of N.
Generally peat is highly deficient in K. Using Bunch Ash as a source of K is more advantageous and preferable since it helps to neutralize soil acidity.
Application of Bunch Ash significantly improved the soil pH as compared to other K fertilizer sources. Due to the pH increasing effect, higher yield and leaf K responses were obtained from Bunch Ash application as compared to the equivalent K applied as MOP (Muriate Of Potash) and SOP (Sulfate Of Potash). It also gives the lowest cost of production in order to achieve the highest gross returns, gross margin as well as ROI value, to the higher yield obtained and the relatively lower cost of Bunch Ash fertilizer.
