Phalaenopsis (The Moth Orchid)
Light: Medium to bright, never direct sun light. Temperature: 60 to 80 oF. Water: Allow modestly dry and then water thoroughly. Relative Humidity: 50% to 80%. Fertilizer: A soluble fertilizer at ½ to ¼ teaspoon per gallon of water. After Flowering: Cut off the spike below the lowest flower or at its base. Re-potting: Every two years with fresh medium. Re-flowering: Drop temperature to below 77 oF. New spike will form. The old spike often re-blooms.
