Racal - Model TWC - Large Trees Measuring Diameters
Racal TWC has been developed to fulfill the need of measuring large trees. The measuring principle allows to measure tree diameters smaller than 360 mm by conventional principle used in Racal 500. When the diameter is larger than 360 mm the TWC automatically uses three point arc measurement.
New measuring principle
Measuring range up to 2600mm
Ensures fast and precise measurement
Capability for demanding measurement and data collection programs
When all three rollers touch the tree, caliper calculates a diameter of the circle passing these three points. Normally large trees are non-convex and therefor it is recommended to measure multiple entries from different sides. TWC makes it is easy to calculate either arithmetic or geometric diameter average of the measurements.
Racal TWC can be used by a tailored data collection program or user can create his own data collection procedure by Masser Developer -software.
