Radial - Agricultural tires
In a radial tire the ply cords extend to the beads and are laid substantially at 90 degrees to the centre-line of the tread, the carcass being stabilized by an essentially inextensibile circumferential belt.
The sidewall is elastic and flexible in a vertical sense. Thanks to these features a radial tire assures:
- less rolling resistance
- better performances at higher speed
- bigger and flatter footprint
- less soil compaction
