Model RAP XRL - Automatic Trimming Machines
When the plant arrives in the cutting area, it is clamped by the gripping head, and is trimmed by the cutter, which rotates around the foliage one or more times. Plants are not revolved so that cutting unit and foliage are always concentric, and the risk of plants falling over is greatly reduced. Speed and cutting unit rotation are controllable. Blade curvature and length are adjustable. Output: up to 800 plants/hour. Pots are moved along three conveyor belts in a straight line; therefore the machine is suitable for placing in an automatic pot-moving system. When trimming tall plants, a second gripping head can be mounted on the machine to clamp the stem of the plant, centring it perfectly under the cutting head.
