Route 113 Heritage Corridor

Spanning more than 30 miles and traversing the counties of Bucks and Montgomelasting-113ry in Pennsylvania, the Route 113 Corridor began as a transportation and cultural link to the Germanic farming communities surrounding Philadelphia from the Delaware River to the Schuylkill River. Reflecting the historic towns, rolling hills and green lands of its past, today this important arterial roadway is under significant pressure from advancing suburbanization. Heritage Conservancy is working to develop and implement a joint Bucks/Montgomery County project to assist landowners with Pennsylvania Farmland Protection Program applications, and raise awareness and offer land stewardship and sustainability options for “post preservation” designed to preserve the viability of farming and farmland.
