Products Details
With SAVE CROP, Auroras offers easy to use advanced technology, which supports farmer decisions, providing information and guidance on the basis of precise scientific parameters.
SAVE CROP operates on two fronts:
- It captures real-time physiopathological data from the plants and those of micro-climate through wireless sensors. All this in the field.
- It elaborates the information and suggests the necessary actions at the right time, thanks to an advanced and powerful software.
SAVE CROP features
- flexible and modular: each system is custom made and can always be implemented with new sensors;
- autonomous: the data transmission via GSM, GPRS, 3G doesn’t need any wires;
- tested: it is used only technology tested personally by Auroras.
Advantages
- Reduction of costs for fertilizer and pesticide treatments: they are recommended only when necessary.
- Anticipates the presence of diseases: the collected data is processed according to a modeling of the main diseases in the field.
- Increased production and better quality: the defense from disease and the intervention against lack of water or nutrients allows to obtain higher yields and a healthier product.
- Reduction of environmental risk: due to the decrease of the treatments.
The wireless sensors available:
Thermo hygrometer, integrated sensor which measures temperature, air humidity and dew point. It’s recommended in calculating the evapotranspiration, the dew point, the soil and climate criteria and for predicting frosts. It’s useful in signaling heat stroke and pathogens development.
Soil moisture sensor calculates the volumetric water content of soil according to the dialetric constant measurement. The sensor allows to control the water content of soil in order to optimize irrigation and treatments as well as to support agronomic studies.
Diametric growth sensor controls the plant health and physiology in addition to periods of hydric stress.
Leaf wetness sensor reveals the bathing on the lower and upper side of a leaf in order to verify and monitor the fungal diseases. A well-timed intervention can limit damage.
Tensiometer measures the effort of the roots to extract water from the soil. It’s useful to optimize irrigation and treatments.
Weather station includes an anemometer, a barometer, a thermo-hygrometer and a rain gauge in order to reveal wind, atmospheric pressure, temperature, relative humidity, dew point, frost and rainfall. It’s useful to optimize irrigation and treatments.
Luximeter reveals illumination. It’s useful for agronomic studies.
EC measures conductive soil. It’s useful to optimize treatments and agronomic studies.
Solar radiation measures the radiation intensity which affect atmospheric temperature, soil temperature and, indirectly, humidity.
UV sensor reveals UV rays which affect the plant growth and the control of pathogens.
How does it Work?
The IoT “Internet of Things” SAVE CROP can be composed of one or more WIRELESS SENSORS, chosen and placed in the field as required. Each SAVE CROP system, in fact, is made ad hoc and is customized according to the characteristics of the field and the crop.
Sensors detect the data of interest that are automatically sent via a GATEWAY to the Service Center of Auroras. Here they are collected and instantly represented in graphs or maps the customer can consult from any device with internet connection. Access to the portal is simple, as well as the graphical interface, developed to be clear and immediate. For purposes of confidentiality, access is allowed only after authentication.
Archived data is also used to make predictions based on sophisticated predictive models. If necessary, there is a system of automatic alerts via text messages or emails that warn about the onset of a problem in the field and suggests the most suitable intervention.
SAVE CROP therefore ensures a constant and efficient control of the crops for which it is not necessary for the farmer to frequent the site. The farmer can be updated wherever and anytime with a simple click.
The suggested actions may also be automated in the field, in the pure spirit of the Internet of Things (IoT).
