Zeigler Shrimp Growout Feeds incorporate the latest nutritional and technological advances developed by our active and creative R & D team. Zeigler has over 65 years experience in the field of nutrition and is committed to offering high quality products and services to the aquaculture industry. Zeigler's unique feed matrix for each species-specific shrimp feed is designed to offer growers the most efficient and cost effective product for pond management. Our feed matrix provides for varying culture styles: Intensive, Semi-Intensive, and Extensive pond stocking. Zeigler’s Intensive (I) Series, Semi-Intensive (SI) Series and Extensive (E) Series offer various levels of protein so pond managers can choose the Series and protein level best suited to actual pond conditions. See our charts and literature for recommendations to choose a Series of feed best suited to your needs.
Zeigler shrimp growout feeds for L. vannamei are formulated to meet the nutritional requirements of Pacific White Shrimp. Our research has shown that these shrimp have feeding habits and nutritional requirements that are different from other cultured species. The Zeigler feed matrix enables pond managers to optimize the pond feed management program to be more cost efficient. Zeigler formulates environmentally friendly feeds with the correct amino acid and fatty acid balances for this species.
Zeigler shrimp growout feed for P. monodon shrimp is formulated with a special nutritional balance to meet the needs of Black Tiger Shrimp. Zeigler feeds for P. monodon are offered at varying protein levels in I-Series and SI-Series. The Zeigler feed matrix enables pond managers to optimize the pond feed management program to be more cost efficient. Zeigler is now offering a new and improved P. monodon diet based on the most up-to-date innovative nutritional and technical research. Zeigler formulates environmentally friendly feeds with the correct amino acid and fatty acid balances for this species.
Zeigler has worked with top industry growers to develop diets especially formulated for super-intensive, Zero Exchange shrimp culture systems. Zero exchange or low-water exchange systems are environmentally friendly, they reduce effluents and improve bio-security. Along with new technologies like those developed at Belize Aquaculture, it is possible to have super-intensive culture with high pond yields. Zeigler has become the leading manufacturer of feeds formulated especially for zero-exchange super intensive systems.

Shrimp Grower “E” Series
Formulated with the same high standards for quality assurance and ingredient selection as Zeigler “SI” and “I” Series diets. “E” Series contain complete vitamin and mineral packs. These diets are designed for culture systems with low stock densities and where natural productivity plays a “primary” role in nourishing the shrimp.
Shrimp Grower “SI” Series
Formulated for culture systems where pond productivity plays a supporting role in nourishing the shrimp. Zeigler “SI” Series diet can sustain relatively high stocking densities depending on pond management styles and natural productivity.
Shrimp Grower “I” Series
Zeigler “I” Series is a complete feed for standard pond systems. Formulated to nurture shrimp grown in intensive culture systems with high stocking densities and high biomass.
Shrimp Grower Super-Intensive Series
Formulated to fully nurture shrimp grown in super-intensive systems with stock densities ranging from 100 to 450 shrimp per meter square, and harvest yields ranging from 10,000 to over 20,000 kg/ha. The feed is designed to complement the heterotropic food chains created by zero exchange or very low water exchange conditions.
