TMAir uses an electrically driven pneumatic fan to apply granules and small seeds, such as nematicides, Avadex and oilseed rape on a wide variety of implements. Horstine’s precision metering uses an individual rotor for each outlet, guaranteeing even and accurate application across the full machine width.

Overview

Hoppers – TMAir is fitted with on or two plastic hoppers in sizes of up to 150L. These hoppers are weather sealed and translucent, allowing operators to monitor hopper contents quickly and easily. Surefill closed transfer receivers are fitted as standard.

Metering – Applicators are available with between 2 and 12 outlets, each fed by their own metering individual rotor. Unlike with a distribution heads this method of metering guarantees applications accuracy across the full implement width.

Drives – There are two options for driving the metering system on the TMAir, a heavy duty land wheel drive or a Wizard electric drive. Both systems provide excellent accuracy of application, with the Wizard having the added benefit of in cab automatic rate control.

Fan System – TMAir is fitted with a high capacity electric fan taken from our larger applicators capable of applying products over increased widths, meaning there is plenty of capacity for TMAir. A venturi system is used to ensure there is a positive flow of product away from the metering into the delivery pipework.
