USNR - Log Ladder
From Lumber Manufacturing - Log Handling
Logs typically come into a Log Ladder from a log infeed deck. The log ladder separates groups of logs to load a single log, and carries the logs up in elevation into an infeed conveyor. The primary function of a log ladder is to elevate logs to a higher level. Depending on the style of log ladder it may also singulate logs before feeding them into the next conveying device. Logs are carried by lugs attached to chain that are powered by an electric motor or a hydraulic motor in large applications.
