Van-Zaal - Control System
A control system activates mechanical installations fully automatically. Not only do mechanical systems ‘do what they have to do’, they also provide management information. They help growers to anticipate cultivation, processing, purchasing, sales and overall market developments, quickly and efficiently.
Dividing the control system into separate building blocks greatly reduces development and installation time, compared to conventional systems. Van Zaal builds a ring line for power and communications, which connects all installations with each other. The result: decentralised motor control.
With our partners, we developed a software package for control & visualisation of mechanical systems in greenhouse horticulture under the name of ISAL. Depending on the requirements and needs of our customers, container relocation commands are executed and shown in a greenhouse visualisation overview.
ERP software, based on Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV 4, takes this a step further. Supplied by Indigo Solutions, this software package supports all processes within a nursery.
There are existing agreements for implementing complex routes, which involve multiple suppliers. Companies that endorse the Horti Data Communication Covenant guarantee that the installations will be mutually linked using standard techniques.
