Variable Single Shaft Park PV Systems
From PV Systems
Standard 7m trapezoids for layouts with 2 panels vertically (portrait) or 3 horizontally (landscape) with a variable single-shaft base A1803 allowing tilting by 16 to 50 degrees depending on the season - Powder coating option for installations in an alkaline environment.
Product Details
Tilting support system for PV farms for anchoring in concrete with aluminium peg or by screwing the flange (length 1.5 m) in a concrete block.
No geological study is required as the length of the aluminium peg is standard. The aluminium peg has a 5X13cm rectangular cross-section and is anchored to a depth of about 1m. The dimensions of the hole for anchoring in concrete are Φ30 at a depth of 1.20 m. Anchoring in concrete also requires a type B500C 1X1m structural mesh with Φ8.
The tilt can be changed in 16 to 50-degree steps.
Degrees 16-35-48 are marked on the base but you can set it to whatever degree you wish.
Measurements by partners who have installed variable bases have measured an additional performance of 10-12%
The system concerns a ready 7.30 m trapezoid, on which 7+7 = 14 panels are placed, arranged 2 vertically or in a horizontal layout of 3 panels 4+4+4=12. No trapezoids longer than 7.30 m can de constructed.
The trapezoids should have a distance of 30cm when lined up next to each other, while the distance of the front trapezoid from the back should be 6 to 7 m.
Each trapezoid includes 3 single-shaft bases with a 2.70 m grid.
This base does not allow raising.
This base is manually operated and has no mechanical parts. The angle should be changed axially to the trapezoid (stand in the middle) after you loosen the 3 Allen screws on the back of the stand. Adjust the tilt depending on your location and the time of year, and tighten the screws.
Adjustment can be done by a single person as the trapezoid bears the weight of 14 panels.
