Zanin - Model C - Traditional Continuous Grain Dryer
From Zanin - Grain Drying
The drying column of the traditional grain dryer is formed by a loading hopper and a number of modules with internal conical ducts immersed in the grain, which descends by way of gravity in a zigzag movement. The grain is hit by a counter current of hot air in the upper part and a flow of air from the outside environment in the lower part (cooling). Part of this is then released into the atmosphere and the rest is recycled. The quantity of grain released is pre-determined and regulated by a pneumatic extractor. The product is then collected in an unloading hopper.
