Facility-Based Destruction
Equipment upgrades and advances in technology for electronic equipment such as desktop and laptop computers, printers, copiers, cell phones, etc. has created a steadily increasing quantity of obsolete equipment. To accommodate the high volume, and larger pieces of equipment, TCG has state-of-the-art equipment that will shred whole units into1 ¼” pieces then separate the output into plastics, ferrous, non-ferrous, and precious metals. These base materials are then sent to audited downstream vendors for final processing or refining. If scheduled in advance, the customer may visit our facility to personally witness the destruction process and, if requested, receive a DVD recording upon completion of the shredding process. A Certificate of Destruction will be provided upon request.
On-Site Destruction
As a convenience to our clients, TCG offers on-site media destruction. A self-contained mobile destruction unit with an on-board generator arrives at the desired location, needing only a place to park. Many types of media may be destroyed in this way– hard drives, cell phones, PDAs, etc. so long as they do not exceed 2 inches of thickness.
As with all of our e-scrap services, a Certificate of Destruction will be provided upon request. A DVD recording of the process will be presented upon completion of the destruction. Material is recorded by serial number (if applicable) along with a piece count or weight for non-serialized material.
