Grid Connection Services
A major advantage of having an AD plant is the extra income that can be generated by supplying excess electricity to the Grid. However, in order for this to happen, you need to get connected. Qila’s in-house engineering team are here to help you with this process.
Grid connection assessment
Before moving forward, our engineering team will conduct a grid connection feasibility study. Access to a viable connection point on the grid will determine whether or not a proposed AD site is suitable for electricity generation and sale.
The assessment involves:
- An initial site visit
- An in-house feasibility study
- Initial contact with the District Network Operator (DNO) to discuss the feasibility of the grid connection
In total, this process takes around 20 days and will help us to make an informed decision as to how best to progress. Our in-house grid specialists will ensure that each site has the best possible chance of getting connected to the distribution network.
