Data Link Manager
The Data Link Manager (DLM) provides the platform for linking and integrating data between external applications and Isograph’s reliability and availability products. DLM manages the data flow between these applications ensuring the consistency and integrity of data.
This module links IBM Rational® DOORS® to Isograph’s Reliability Workbench application enabling users to maintain links between safety requirements and the associated fault trees or System Safety requirements. Safety targets may be monitored and data transferred both ways between the two applications in a controlled environment.
Data Link Manager supports DOORS versions 9.3, 9.4 and 9.5 and DOORS Next Generation (NG) using the OSLC REST API.
Inter-application connectivity is achieved by defining links between RWB and DOORS objects. Typically links will be defined between DOORS safety requirements and RWB fault trees or system safety requirements. A DLM project may contain many hundreds or thousands of links which can be organized into a convenient hierarchical structure for easy navigation using link types. For example, you may wish to organize your link type hierarchy to reflect the module hierarchy of your requirements in DOORS.
Once links have been defined the DLM can be used to read data from the associated objects and display this data to the user in the grid view. Inconsistencies in data between objects in the RWB and DOORS applications may then be identified and the DLM used to update the appropriate object columns in the two applications.
