Scrum - Development Process Software
Stilwell follows the Scrum software development process because it maximizes business value by delivering working software in an iterative manner.
Product Backlog
Product Backlog
Creating the product backlog is the first step of the development process. Stilwell will work with the client and create a spreadsheet with a prioritized list of features to be developed including broad descriptions, wish-list items, etc.
Sprint Backlog
At the beginning of each sprint, Stilwell will select items from the product backlog (based on priority) to be developed. These items are further analyzed and a sprint backlog document is created with detailed information on how each selected item will be developed.
Sprint
A 2-week cycle in which items in the sprint backlog are developed according to Stilwell’s coding standards. A progress chart will be created daily, allowing Stilwell to closely monitor the development progress and make rapid adjustments if necessary.
Working increment of software
By creating a working version of the software every 2 weeks, Stilwell empowers clients to provide feedback and steer the development of their product. The ability for clients to provide feedback at every step of development allows Stilwell to maximize the business value of every developed product.
