The fight against all forms of marine pollution is at the heart of THOMSEA`s commitment.

The goal is to propose a concrete solution to a very real problem: the increase in pollution all over the world. Whether accidental or intentional, this pollution can no longer go unnoticed. It threatens everyone, everywhere. By drawing on the natural power of water, THOMSEA offers innovative and effective solutions adapted to the different situations encountered.

Thanks to its trawls, THOMSEA participates in many international maritime and river pollution clean-up projects.
It all started with the sinking of the Erika in 1999. This oil spill that forced the fishermen to return to port.
THOMSEA was born from this desire not to stand by and do nothing.
Its founder, Thierry Thomazeau, at the time a fishing skipper, asked the French Navy to provide him with the tools necessary for this fight. But these tools are not very effective and are not reusable, a more efficient solution must be developed.
After 3 years of research, and thanks to the determination of its founder, THOMSEA produced its first prototype which will be tested on the sinking of the Prestige: a real success .

The trawl has been constantly improved in order to fight marine pollution more effectively. The development and use of new tools for collecting and washing algae on beaches has become a second important development axis for THOMSEA. The collection and recovery of algae in the human and animal health sectors is a real asset for the environment and humans.

These natural algae-sourced products make it possible to obtain meat that is healthier for consumption and organic harvests no longer use traditional fungicides: another contribution from THOMSEA towards a society that is more respectful of its environment.
