Innovation at the University of Florida- Video

Innovation isn't just gee-whiz ideas. It's been the main engine of economic growth since World War II. That engine runs on government-funded research and has produced vaccines, touchscreens, lasers, GPS and the Internet. Innovation does more than create new products -- it spawns whole new sectors of the economy. Remember that thirst quencher invented in Gainesville... before Gatorade there was no such thing as a 'sports drink' industry.

Lots of people come up with ideas. The University of Florida gets those ideas to the marketplace...and that changes lives.
