Sports fields (golf courses, tennis courts, soccer fields, cricket pitches, etc.) require dense plant growth to withstand constant heavy foot traffic. On top of quality improvement, Fytofoam provides substantial water saving in the maintenance cycles. Fytofoam can be applied either by incorporating it into root zones during construction achieving the ideal growing environment for quality turf grasses, or during resurfacing or routine maintenance. Mixing Fytofoam in the soil to a depth of 200mm encourages deeper root development due to increased moisture captured by the foam; previous to incorporating the foam, water and nutrients would leach through the soil and go to waste. Additionally, the added benefit of the air trapped within the soil substrate prevents soil compaction.
