Improved Fruit Quality & Larger Fruit Size of Blueberries in Peru - Case Study
Details: Kyminasi Plant Booster (KPB) technology was installed on 4 acres of their blueberries in December 2019 and harvested in August 2020. Post-harvest quality measurements were completed after 30 days of storage at 0°C.

Results
The KPB blueberries had improved flavor quality as measured by the Brix acidity ratio and compared to the control crop. The KPB crop had improved size quality, with 10% more fruit having diameters over 19 millimeters as compared to the control crop (88% vs. 78%). The KPB crop also had an improved shelf life, as there was 4% more fruit with no observed bruising (83% vs. 79%) as compared to the control crop. In conclusion, the KPB blueberry field achieved greater yields and produced $12,497 more in profit than the control field.
