We’re proud to be helping establish this European country’s very first pet crematorium

Although pet cremation and pet crematoria are now commonplace throughout all parts of the UK and indeed across many, many countries around the world, there are still a number of nations where this practice remains completely unknown.  Recently however, we received an enquiry from a vet who is based in mainland Europe and whose intention is to establish his country’s very first pet crematorium.  Despite considerable local opposition the vet has managed to obtain the necessary planning permissions and we are delighted that he chose Matthews Environmental Solutions pet cremation equipment for his pioneering venture.

Because this will be the very first pet crematorium to be opened in the country the vet needed to be absolutely certain that the equipment he specified would meet all his (and the authority’s) requirements.  Not only that, but he also needed to have total confidence in the quality of the design, engineering and operational efficiency as well as the assurance that his new pet cremation equipment would provide the kind of reliable and trouble-free service that will enable him to gain the confidence and approval of his new market.

After several discussions and a visit to our Manchester based headquarters and workshops, this pet cremator pioneer chose a DEFRA Type Approved Surefire™ SA50/0.6 fixed hearth cremator.  As part of the specifications we also added an additional cremation chamber in the secondary chamber.

The Surefire™ SA50 is an ultra-reliable, tried and tested pet cremator that has been used, proved and approved all around the world.  It is 100% UK manufactured in our own engineering workshops and incorporates a heavy steel shell with 1600°C refractory, plus high-efficiency calcium silicate insulation.  With a full-size interlocking load/ash door plus advanced incineration technology and emissions control, this pet cremation unit is guaranteed to satisfy every single requirement of our new customer.

The vet is now eagerly looking forward to the launch of his new pet crematorium, which he hopes will become the first of several planned around the country.  As his preferred supplier we wish him every success in his venture and are confident that as his business grows we will be able to meet his needs for many years to come.
