Nothing blows like "Big Moe", Air-O-Fan`s most popular engine-driven sprayer, the D-2/40, is known throughout the world as the leader in performance and dependability, powered by a 225 horse power John Deere diesel engine "Big Moe" has set a name in history for superior coverage on any crop within a 60 foot canopy. The D-2/40 is the sprayer of choice for most commercial spray applicators here in the Central San Joaquin valley not to mention a vast number of growers in citrus, almonds, pistachios, walnuts & pecans. When people ask us engine drive vs. PTO drive whats better? We relate it this way, it take power to produce performance, a 100 horse power tractor pulling a PTO driven sprayer (say a GB-36R) at 90 PTO horse power has a 9 blade / 27 degree pitch fan forcing air through a 6.25" fan housing discharge throat.

The all new D-2/36 500, 600, & 1,000 gallon engine driven air-blast sprayer is built on the same platform as its predecessor the D-2/35 but the new package has more power, and more performance while maintaining Air-O-Fan simplicity and dependability, as well as a few new upgrades. Powered by a 156 horse power John Deere diesel engine, the D-2/36 has increased fan diameter, fan pitch, and fan housing throat width. This is important because it all equals performance, if we can charge more air into the fan housing while increasing throat width, we will be able to spray crops that wouldn`t have been possible to spray with its predecessor the D-2/35. The goal is to provide a product with unparalleled performance in its horse power range and ultimately to save the end user money, yet still able to do the job right.

The Air-O-Fan GB-2/32 500, 600, & 1,000 Gallon orchard sprayers out-perform, out last, and out sell other similar sprayers in it`s class. The goal behind running twin fans is to create a high volume of turbulent air, this tumbling high volume of air is created by twin fans (one with reverse pitch) colliding air together to charge the fan housing into a larger discharge throat which in turn creates a higher volume of tumbling turbulent air. This technology is very popular in crops that are close to the sprayer, dense in nature, and range in heights up to 30 feet; such as citrus, almonds, olives, & even Walnuts.

Air-O-Fan`s commercial-grade, introductory-line PTO-driven sprayer is the G3-534/36, known for its big performance in a compact simple package. This model is the "3rd generation" to our retired G2-500 model line. The G3 has an added bonus for growers farming both orchard & vineyard crops, by removing a few simple bolts one is able to remove our vineyard attachments and go directly into an orchard application. Standard features include: a 304 stainless steel tank, adjustable spindles, heavy duty constant velocity PTO shaft, 1" stainless steel mechanical agitation, 34" & 36" diameter high performance axial flow steel fan, 2-row stainless steel short stack vineyard tower with up-spray volutes (or our single-row vineyard volute tower), and composite nylon adjustable air vanes with specialty valves. Herbicide spraying in some fashion has become common practice on any well maintained farm here on the west coast and it is not taken lightly here at Air-O-Fan. Common to our air-blast sprayer lines, the Herb 500 & 300 gallon have maintained the high quality standards that Air-O-Fan has always stood for. Standard features include 12.5L ribbed implement tires, HD hubs & spindles, 3 port pressure manifold w/regulator, 14 GPM (P-48 Comet) diaphragm pump coupled to a 4 to 1 gear reduction box w/neutral which is chain coupled to our standard 1" mechanical agitation system found on our PTO driven air-blast sprayer models. Herb also uses the same chassis, axle, and spray tank found on our G3 air-blast sprayer line, this commonality in parts helps our growers in the field with any down time that could be lost due to say (for example) a spindle failure.
