Applied Biotech Industries Brevibacillus laterosporus is a bacteria used to increase nitrogen and phosphorus availability in various soil types.  The strain also produces plant growth hormones, including gibberellin and IBA. The strain quickly colonizes the root zone and outcompetes pathogens for space. Brevibacillus laterosporus improves crop yields and provides gains in both fruit quality and flavor.

Penicillium bilaiae, from Applied Biotech Industries, is a fungi used for increasing phosphorus availability to plant roots. It functions by solubilizing phosphorus (P) that was previously unavailable to plant roots, thereby increasing P uptake. P. bilaiae also increases available potassium (K). The strain secretes organic acids that release mineral bound phosphates, making them plant available. Penicillium bilaiae may be used as a seed treatment on crops like corn, or may be applied through drip or spray irrigation. Penicillium bilaiae enhances uptake of P and K and leads to both crop yield and quality gains.
