Current APS Closed Loop Systems Range from 600 pounds to 300,000 pounds of product and move nearly 10 million pounds of product through various customers per year. Closed Loop systems do not have a steady supply of fresh water (Sea/Lake/River) to flush ammonia (waste) from the system, which can be deadly to the species being held. APS engineers are trained to calculate your freshwater requirement based on species, quantity being held, operation (Purging, Holding, Growing) and volume of water in tanks to calculate the exact need to maintain a 0 PPM ammonia concentration. APS Engineers will calculate the amount of ammonia discharged from your product based on operation and establish a biofiltration system to meet your business needs.
