The McDonald incubator is used for the artificial and controlled incubation of fish eggs (e.g., for trout, salmon, perch, catfish, tilapia, and many other fish species). It mimics natural incubation conditions, with the fill level and water flow rate being the directly adjustable parameters. Water temperature and other water quality parameters are controlled indirectly via the water supply. The McDonald incubator can be operated in both continuous and recirculating modes. The fish water, supplied from the top, exits at the bottom in the area of the semicircular base, rises in the cylindrical section of the container, and flows out via the overflow located in the upper section. The unique shape of the container ensures that the eggs are kept in constant motion and do not stick together. 

Continuous feeding is particularly advantageous or even necessary for small fish larvae. Once manually wound, these feeders ensure uninterrupted feeding for 8-10 hours. If feeding is required for a shorter period or only at specific times, the belt is only wound halfway, or the feed is distributed accordingly. No electrical connection is required for operation; the devices are purely mechanical and therefore suitable for locations without a power supply. Hundreds of thousands of these feeders have been used in professional fish farming worldwide for decades. The devices are easy to clean and maintain on-site. All parts are available as spare parts and can be replaced by the operator. Suitable for powdered, granulated, and pelleted feeds.

To prevent feed bridging within the container and thus interruption of feeding, the feeder features a stirring finger driven by a geared motor. The translucent polyethylene (PE) container allows for easy monitoring of the fill level and is sufficiently moisture-resistant to keep the feed dry for several days. The user-friendly control unit allows you to dispense up to 99 portions of feed per day and automatically increase the feed quantity by a percentage each day according to fish growth.
