The patented bacteria in AquaProB are selected for their ability to grow in fresh and saltwater environments and for their enzyme producing abilities. They have been used in catfish ponds and shrimp farms to reduce the amount of accumulated organic material and to improve the quality of the aquatic environment.  As with all products of this nature they function via competition for nutrients.  Their enzymes degrade a wide variety of substrates.

AQUAPRO EZ is an aquaculture powder mixture of two naturally occurring bacterial strains Bacillus licheniformis and Bacillus subtilis selected for their ability to degrade organic material present in sludge and nutrients specifically formulated to allow the bacteria to jump start their growth in aquatic ecosystems. The bacteria in this product are harmless to plant and animal life and are naturally occurring bacterial species. They are not genetically modified or altered in any manner.

AquaPro F was developed for top dressing onto or incorporation into feed.  AquaPro F contains the same Bacillus species (and a few others) found in our other products in addition to a prebiotic and several enzymes.   The heat from the milling process may kill some of the spores, although they are quite resistant to heat.   One kg of AquaPro F contains no less than 4 trillion (1012) Bacillus spores. These do not germinate when they are milled into the feed.   In shrimp, where the gut is short and the time from ingestion to defecation is measured in minutes, the spores pass through the gut untouched and are deposited into the sediment in the feces.   This is where they germinate, directly in the material that they need to degrade.   For fish species, where the retention time is longer than 12 hours or so, the spores will germinate in the gut where the vegetative cells can act before being passed out in the feces.

MicroPRO+++ was developed as a means of delivering spores on a more or less constant basis.   Far too many farmers have been persuaded to grow bacteria up on pond side for regular addition.   This can be justified if it is done responsibly and correctly although the reality is that this is only useful from the standpoint of predigesting carbohydrate substrates that shrimp readily consume, reducing FCRs.   As a means of cleaning up the water this rarely works and the risks far outweigh the benefits.

CLEAN POND tablet is a blend of selected bacteria formulated in a tableted format for ease of delivery directly to the bottoms of ponds and other bodies of water.  The bacteria, a strain of Bacillus subtilis and a strain of B. licheniformis have been selected specifically for their ability to de-grade organic matter that accumulates as a result of natural ecological processes.
